Aryna Sabalenka
Sabalenka was born in Belarus in Minsk. Sergey, her father (who passed away in the year 2019) was an ice hockey player. Aryna Sabalenka was born 5 May 1998, in Minsk Belarus. Her professional career has seen her win twelve WTA singles championships. This includes an Grand Slam in the Australian Open in 2023. Doubles is another area where she shines. The US Open 2019, and Australian Open 2021 were both taken by Elise Mertens. Together with her fellow Belgian tennis star, she won the WTA 1000 in Indian Wells as well as Miami in the year 2019, making her the Sunshine Double. Just four pairs of women's tennis have achieved this feat. In January of 2023 she reached her highest ranking in singles. On the 23rd of August, 2021 she was promoted into the top two spot of World rankings. However, in doubles she climbed to the top spot after her victory in Melbourne in February the identical year. Dmitry Tursunov, a former Russian tennis star, coached her throughout her 2018 season to the close of this season in 2020. Dieter Kindlmann was her coach from the month of August through September 2020. Antonio Dubrov has been her coach since the year 2020. Serena Williams and Maria Sharapova were her idols.
